At Shoup Evers & Green, we are devoted to representing injured Vermonters and their families. Over the years, our attorneys and our staff have developed the experience and skills necessary to provide quality representation in a broad range of cases involving injuries and wrongful death.
Personal Injury
When someone causes a car crash or allows dangerous property conditions to cause injury or even death, that person can – and should – be held legally responsible. From a “no cost, no obligation” review at the beginning of your case to sound legal representation in and out of the courtroom, our strength is in our experience.
Trial Consulting
Through the use of focus groups and case analysis, John Evers helps lawyers see the strengths and weaknesses of their cases; to find the most persuasive story and most compelling themes. Test-running discovery, witnesses and numerous other aspects of overall trial strategy. John has helped lawyers re-frame their presentations and improve their likelihood of success on behalf of their clients.
Medical Malpractice
We all value and rely upon quality health care. Health care practitioners are skilled and devoted, but they are human and sometimes make avoidable mistakes that harm the patients in their care. If you are concerned that a medical error has caused injury or death, you should consider having an experienced professional review the treatment.
Sexual Abuse
Some topics are not easy to talk about, and we know that sexual abuse is one of the most challenging – and even harder to overcome. If you have been molested as a child, by someone in a position of trust and authority, or if you fear that a family member has suffered sexual abuse, please call us. Confidentiality, healing and justice are the pillars we stand by when we seek compensation for our clients and prosecution for the perpetrators.
Nursing Home Neglect
Nursing homes that are licensed in Vermont must follow both federal and Vermont state regulations which are designed to protect nursing home residents. If a nursing home does not follow these regulations and a resident is injured or dies as a result, the nursing home may be responsible to the resident and/or the resident’s family for those injuries.
Negotiation Training
John Schraven has resolved thousands of disputes over the last twenty-five years. He is experienced in negotiating health insurance subrogation, personal injury settlements and workers compensation claims. John believes everything is negotiable and that everyone should be comfortable negotiating.
