Michael began his legal career in Burlington defending personal injury claims. After a few years, he changed his practice to representing individuals rather than insurance companies. He was a member of the prominent Burlington firms of O’Neill Crawford & Green and O’Neill Kellner & Green. In 2014, he helped start Shoup Evers & Green. Michael has been representing injured Vermonters in a wide range of liability cases and in workers’ compensation claims. His work has earned him listings in Best Lawyers in America and New England Super Lawyers.
Michael’s community involvement includes serving as the chair of the Burlington School Board for five years. He also was a director of the United Way of Chittenden County. He and his wife Sarah live in Burlington. They have three adult children. He enjoys backcountry and telemark skiing, being walked by his dog, hiking, and following international soccer.
